With the UK Slot Car Festival held at the Heritage Motor Centre it’s very appropriate that Saturday sees a race for BMC saloons, to be held on Pendle Slot Racing’s new three-lane ‘Slotfire’ track.
Organiser Phil Insull explained that any hard plastic bodied British Leyland, Austin-Rover, BMC and Jaguar sports car, saloon or hatchback pre-1986 including race and rally versions are eligible.
Up to 24 scratchbuilt and commercially available cars will line up for what promises to be quite a spectacle.
The flag falls at 12 noon on Saturday.
